Local package searching with rpm is fine, just searching global packages is awfully slow. Yes there are workarounds but by default it feels sluggish. DNF5 written in C++ offers some good improvements but is unlikely to speed up package queries. While having up to date versions of software is nice sometimes and I think i've only had one issue with things being too new and breaking. During the Fedora 37 beta, I tried upgrading and found my install of [Pyinfra](https://pyinfra.com/) had broken due to Python being upgraded from 3.10 to 3.11. Reinstalling didn't help but these issues cover the problem [1](https://github.com/pypa/pipx/issues/791)/[2](https://github.com/pypa/pipx/issues/886). + +Overall, a lot of the issues I've had have been minor, my own fault or unavoidable. I would still recommend Fedora to anyone! + +p.s. by the time you're reading this my blog will have moved to using Zola over 11ty, the new github url is . Might be a post on Zola coming eventually. \ No newline at end of file
