# pgrep

> Find or signal process by name

- return PIDs of any running processes with a matching command string 

`pgrep {{Finder}}`

- case insensitive greping

`pgrep -i {{fireFOx}}`

- kill all processes which match

`pkill -9 {{Finder}}`
