- Register an existing VM:

- Supply the encryption password file of the VM:

`VBoxManage registervm {{path/to/filename.vbox}} --password {{path/to/password_file}}`

- Prompt for the encryption password on the command line:

`VBoxManage registervm {{path/to/filename.vbox}} --password -`
