# head

- Output the first few lines of a file:

`head --lines {{8}} {{path/to/file}}`

- Output the first few bytes of a file:

`head --bytes {{8}} {{path/to/file}}`

- Output everything but the last few lines of a file:

`head --lines -{{8}} {{path/to/file}}`

- Output everything but the last few bytes of a file:

`head --bytes -{{8}} {{path/to/file}}`
