# dig

- Lookup the IP(s) associated with a hostname (A records):
|
|
|
|
`dig +short {{example.com}}`
|
|
|
|
- Get a detailed answer for a given domain (A records):

`dig +noall +answer {{example.com}}`

|
|
- Query a specific DNS record type associated with a given domain name:
|

|
