# shred

- Overwrite a file:
|
|
|
|
`shred {{path/to/file}}`
|
|
|
|
- Overwrite a file, leaving zeroes instead of random data:
|
|
|
|
`shred --zero {{path/to/file}}`
|
|
|
|
- Overwrite a file 25 times:
|
|
|
|
`shred -n25 {{path/to/file}}`
|
|
|
|
- Overwrite a file and remove it:
|
|
|
|
`shred --remove {{path/to/file}}`
