pvcreate

Initialize a disk or partition for use by LVM (Logical Volume Manager).

  • Initialize /dev/sda1 to use lvm:

pvcreate {{/dev/sda1}}

  • Force the creation without any confirmation:

pvcreate --force {{/dev/sda1}}
