# journalctl

> Query the systemd journal.

- Show all messages from this boot:
|
|
|
|
`journalctl -b`
|
|
|
|
- Show all messages from last boot:
|
|
|
|
`journalctl -b -1`
|
|
|
|
- Follow new messages (like `tail -f` for traditional syslog):

`journalctl -f`

- Show all messages by a specific unit:
