Task runner for rules described in Makefile. Mostly used to control the compilation of an executable from source code.

• Call the all rule:

make

• Call a specific rule:

make {{rule}}

• Use specific Makefile:

make -f {{file}}

• Execute make from another directory:

make -C {{directory}}

• Force making of a rule, even if source files are unchanged

make -B {{rule}}
