Contributing
Freeside welcome contributions to these lists from staff and students at the University of Hull, as well as members of the public. If you wish to contribute, please abide by the following rules:
- Fork the repository, look at the markdown and understand it.
- Make your changes and double check that nothing is broken.
- Make a pull request and request a review from the Freeside team.
If you're not sure how to contribute, please follow this handy tutorial alternatively, jump straight in with VS Code for Github. See here for more info.
Hacktoberfest Rules
If you're contributing as part of Hacktoberfest, your contributions should meet the Hacktoberfest rules as well as the below:
- Contributors MUST identify that they're submitting as part of hacktoberfest. Any submissions made without identifying they are part of hacktoberfest will be reviewed AFTER Hacktoberfest.
- Contributions MUST add resources of academic or professional quality (e.g. Academic papers, other university/student resources, professional training pathways/exchanges).
- Contributions MUST submit a minimum of 5 new resources.
- Contributions MUST improve upon or enhance explainations of topics.
- Contributions MUST NOT link to resources requiring payment or be hidden behind a paywall.
- Contributions MAY begin a new topic / category but MUST provide background and a minimum of 5 resources for that category.
- Contributions MIGHT be accepted if linking to other repos, software, opensource projects etc depending on quality.
All contributions will be checked. Malicious links will be reported. No exceptions.
